Solar for warehouses and distribution centres

A large roof gives you options. Your dispatch hours, refrigeration and forklift charging tell us how much of that roof is worth using. We size the system against the electricity your site buys while the sun is up.

How much solar can your warehouse use?

A depot that empties out after the morning dispatch has a different load from a cold store running around the clock. We compare an ordinary trading day with weekends and quiet periods, then separate power used on site from power exported to the grid. Your proposal shows the value of each separately.

Should forklift charging move into daylight hours?

If the fleet is parked overnight, midday solar may do little for charging. If some vehicles return between shifts, we can compare the existing schedule with a daytime charging window. Dispatch comes first: we only model changes that work for your operators.

Planning around a working warehouse

Tell us who owns the building, which meter serves your tenancy and whether a roof replacement is planned. We review roof access, skylights, loading bays and switchboard access before agreeing on a work area. For a leased site, we flag items that need landlord approval before you commit.

What to send for an assessment

Start with the site postcode, a recent bill and your opening hours. Interval meter data, a roof plan and the forklift charging schedule are useful if available. We’ll show you the proposed array, expected on-site use, export assumptions and itemised installed cost.
